At Caley Brothers HQ, we are fascinated by the growing ability of Mushrooms and have developed our School and Community package's to show you how you can get your students and community growing mushrooms on a variety of substrates.
We have chosen 6 indoor and outdoor projects that are a wonderful and practical way for anyone wanting to learn more about the mushroom growing process.

Description
We offer package options that deliver a practical experience allowing students to source and/or prepare their own substrate base. They’ll introduce fresh mushroom spawn and in turn witness the growth of the living mycelium, going on to grow their very own mushrooms as part of the experience.
Our school and community packages include: an in-door and out-door growing project pdf, containing 3 unique projects for each and an information sheet detailing the basics of mushroom growing and how to order.
Each project can be made by an individual or as part of a group. We recommend if working as a group 3/4 students per project.
Package options
Indoor growing packages: Coffee ☕️ books 📚 & jean👖projects x4 of each.
Will we send you enough spawn and grow bags to make 4 of your chosen project.
We offer an in-door bundle option where you will receive 1 of each project - totalling 3 projects.
Outdoor growing packages: Log 🪵 paper-bag & button projects.
We will send you enough dowels, spawn and/or coir/paperbags to make 3x of your chosen projects (2x button mushroom kits).
We offer an out-door bundle option where you will receive 1 of each project - totalling 3 projects.

Indoor Growing
☕️ Coffee Project: Supplied by us - grey oyster mushroom spawn & mushroom grow bag x4 (use within 1 month of receipt).
You will need to source 3.2g - 4 kilo fresh coffee grounds.
📚 Book Project: Supplied by us - grey oyster mushroom spawn & mushroom grow bag x4 (use within 1 month of receipt).
You will need to source text only reading books x4.
👖 Jean Project: Supplied by us - grey oyster mushroom spawn & mushroom grow bag x4 (use within 1 month of receipt).
You will need to source adult sized denim jeans x4 (cleaned).
Outdoor Growing
🪵 Log Project: Supplied by us - inoculated dowels & bee wax block x3 (use within 2 month of receipt).
You will need to source freshly felled hardwood log x3 (approx. 50cm x 12-20cm diameter) + 8.5mm drill bit, drill & hammer.
Paper-bag Project: Supplied by us - grey oyster mushroom spawn & paper bag x3 (use within 1 month of receipt).
You will need to source 6 kilo untreated, clean straw.
Button Mushroom Project: Supplied by us - mushroom spawn & coco coir x2 (use within 1 month of receipt).
You will need to source 12 kilo compost manure + newspaper, clean card & containers.

Free Postage. We will dispatch your goods within 7-14 days of receipt of your order.

We handmake all our kits in small batches at our farm in West Sussex, to ensure you receive the freshest ready to grow kit with the very best chance of a successful great yield. Order your kit now and we’ll post out your kit on the date listed above.
You can keep your kit in a light and airy spot where you’ll remember to water it once a day and watch it grow. They don’t need to be grown in the dark – kept indoors, in a kitchen is the perfect environment – giving them the right light and temperature to thrive.
